Reformation

On public spending, we will be relentless in making sure that the public gets value for money for every CFA Frs spent. We will overhaul how government works: cutting back-office and unnecessary running costs; abolishing unnecessary arm’s length-bodies; that’s is bribery and corruption. We will have to create a new Council for Financial Stability that will monitor and help address asset bubbles and inancial imbalances within the economy. We will also create a new Small Business Credit Adjudicator with statutory powers ensuring that small and medium size enterprises are not turned down unfairly through the tax and banking system when applying to banks for finance.

We will help to create a new generation of entrepreneurs, ensuring that those studying for vocational skills are offered the opportunity to learn how to start and run a business, while the Flying Start program will do the same for final-year university students.

We face a deep crisis of trust in politics following the parliamentary expenses scandal. Faith in our political institutions was seriously eroded by the abuses of the expenses system. Only radical change can begin to renew our democracy.

Cleaning up politics

We will act swiftly to clean up politics by creating an Independent Parliamentary Standards Body to look in MPs conducts, salaries and pension as well as their allowances. And we will take further measures to restore trust in our politics by creating an independent electoral body that will manage, run and proclaim election results.

A new politics

To begin the task of building a new politics, we will let the our people decide on whether to make election results be proclaimed the same day or at the shortest moment without interference of the Government.

To further strengthen our democracy and renew our constitution, we will legislate a Fixed Term Parliaments and set up an All-Party Commission that will renew our constitution that will be more democratic and accountable in referenda on reform of the Parliament and Senate. We will be proud to have bring in the Human Rights Act, enabling Cameroonians to take action in regional courts rather than having to seek redress in in Yaoundé. We will not repeal or resile from either a francophone or Anglophones system. Our society rightly demands respect from young people. At the same time, society should respect young people’s views and aspirations.

A health and social care system that will be centered around an independent body Cameroon Heath Board (CHB) that will be in charge to generally overlook the healthcare needs of the people. We will have to abolish the acronym “No money no health Policy of the CPDM” We all have a responsibility to look after our own health, supported by our family and our employer through the CHB. They will be an immediate ban on smoking in public places and will be maintained. Wherever necessary, we will act to protect children’s health from tobacco, alcohol and Drugs. All our Hospitals first aid units will be overseen by the policies of the newly created Cameroon Health Board.

Because the learning environment itself matters, we will take forward our Building Schools for the Future program to rebuild or refurbish secondary schools, giving our children first rate facilities that support inspirational teaching and Transport access. We will Ensure that all children are safe from abuse and harm will remain a top priority. We will have to eliminated up-front fees paid by parents and students before admission. We will review the current qualifications system of both primary and secondary education. A third millennium vocational institution will be introduced so that we can get professional in the neediest aspects of life. Ranging from Plumbers, Builders, Electricians and painters etc.

We need a sustainable environment that is clean and healthy. Which means we will have a greater task for waste manage. Especially sewage and garbage all around our homes. We all accept that we currently live in a dusty atmosphere, our target is to archive a nationwide cleanup. We will endeavor to train environmentalist from our local institutions to better manage our environments and bring about cleaner atmosphere.

Sustainable farming, healthy food We want British farming to be profitable and competitive. We need our farmers to produce more food, nurturing our countryside and biodiversity. We will continue to seek reform of the Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) to facilitate the creation of fairer and better functioning agricultural markets, enabling farmers to return a reasonable profit from food production.

To tackle the Dual Nationality issue which have left people reluctant to venture into their country of birth, we will irresponsible promote and strengthened Dual nationality we will use our powers to dismantle this conundrums so that people that are of Cameroon born but living abroad and holding foreign passports should not be restricted from Cameroon. We have brought in a right of citizenship to all Cameroonians.

We are proud to be the party that will legislate first dual nationality rights with no hatred and barriers – and we will reverse the CPDM attempt to undermine this legislation, invoking this into Parliament Act if necessary to force it through.

Dual Nationality is a concern and must be looked into. We will redress this issue by acknowledging dual Nationality considering that a Cameroon is fair for all Cameroonians not just for a few.

Strong families are the bedrock of our society. Secure and stable relationships between parents, their children, grandparents and other family members are the foundation on which strong communities are built. Today, parents have rising aspirations for their children and greater choice about how they lead their family and working lives.

No child left behind in poverty

No child should have to grow up in poverty. The current pressures on the personal finances of families make the goal of ending child poverty more urgent than ever. So we will continue to make progress towards our historic goal of ending child poverty by 2034, building on a Child Poverty Act that will come in to place.

We will make unprecedented investment towards our cultural life, widening access by introducing cultural centers, museums and galleries all over the 10 regions. Every child and young person should be entitled to five hours of art, music and culture per week, through learning to play a musical instrument, visiting local museums and joining film clubs, or taking part in local theatre. Through Creative Partnerships we are ensuring that young people in the most deprived parts of the country are able to fulfil their artistic talents by working with local arts and cultural organizations.

Improving your community

The nature of the places in which we live matters enormously. We are happier, more engaged and better able to enjoy family life where there are safe and welcoming public spaces, good local amenities and buildings in which we can take pride.

Our regeneration policies will transform all neglected communities especially those that have faced political barriers through the current regime, and we will have to make our cities amongst the cleanest in Africa. We will make savings in regeneration funding and focus on tackling worklessness, transforming the prospects of those areas most disconnected from the wider economy.

The engine and the road map of growth is private enterprises

We will have by all means needed to give business our full support in creating wealth and jobs. Strong and sustained growth is fundamental to a credible strategy for keeping the public finances on a stable long-term footing. To be successful, business needs stability. The governance of our economic and financial institutions will have to be radically reformed. And to support business in securing prosperity for future generations and economic Stabilization, an activist industrial strategy is needed:

Learning the lessons from those but failed leadership that have succeeded in closing down our colonial inherited factories and industries. In these countries the role of my government will not to stand aside, but to nurture the private sectors dynamism, properly supporting infrastructure and the sectors of the future.
